April 2010 — "Recently, my grandmother passed away in South Dakota and I am living in Palmer, AK. My mother, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was hospitalized with no certainty of her health and possible surgery. A gentleman named R.M., who only had this on his badge and stated he was from Bozeman, MT, was extremely helpful in facilitating the bereavement ticket and worked to ensure my ability to make any adjustments during my visit to SD in case I needed to fly to Alabama. He was very patient, courteous, and compassionate to my situation. He willingly stayed over his shift to ensure my ticket purchase and information was correct. I don't know if you have a "Heart of Gold" award, but this man is deserving of accolades and many Kudos for his exceptional customer service. It was refreshing to have such a kind, professional, and caring individual take care of my flight needs. Please ensure this man receives some sort of acknowledgment and award, if possible. He is truly a credit to the Delta team. With sincerest thanks! "
