June 2007 — "
I hailed a cab downtown in the middle of the rain and was going an inner-city neighbourhood and advised the driver of where to turn because of the construction being done on Center Street. He did not listen to me and went the wrong way. He realized he was in the wrong neighbourhood and rather than listen to where I was suggesting he turn he attempted to go onto 16th Avenue where you cannot even turn onto from most intersections due to traffic. I asked him to stop the cab and that I would walk the rest of the way because it would be too much money by the time he turned it around (keep in mind, it's raining) and he still made me pay the full fare. (Which was $10, when it usually costs me $7...not really the point.)
ANYWAY, called the company to complain as soon as I got out of the cab and since the driver took off to fast to see the cab number the man who answered said there was no way to rectify the situation. And when I asked "Do you not keep track of fares at all?" He got angry and yelled at me "Don't get smary girly," and hung up. Oh, and he also claimed to run the entire company. Which seems fishy that the owner would be working the phones.
Long ramble. Long story short. Unless you like being dropped off at the wrong place and still paying and being yelled at when you complain, I'd suggest taking another company."
