December 2006 — "The only reason I ever take this cab company is because they have a designated area to sit right outside my work, so I don't have to wait for one. I find almost all of the drivers to be obnoxious and insulting. I have come across very few who actually seem to know what customer service may be.
Any other time, I will ALWAYS take Mayfair. Must nicer drivers, and always seem to be in a good mood. Not to mention, they don't take as long to pick you up when you need it. MUCH better customer service. "

"Terrible, completly unacceptable service"

May 2006 — "On May 2, 2006 at approximately 2pm, I called their main switchboard to request a taxi pick-up for the same day at 5pm at my home in Inglewood. I explained to the person I spoke to that I was catching an international flight and needed to leave at 5pm sharp. At 5:05pm, my taxi had not shown up, so I called their switchboard again and was connected to someone after waiting on hold for 5 minutes. The person I spoke to told me that she saw that I had made this request, but informed me that there were no cabs anywhere in my area. She said she would order one (Why hadn’t it been ordered before?!) but she could not give me even an approximate time that it would arrive at my home. She said it would be there anytime between 5 and 45 mintues, which was completely unacceptable as I was already running 10 minutes late. Understandably, I did not have any faith at this point that their taxi would ever show up, so I called Associated and ordered a taxi. The associated taxi arrived at my house within 5 minutes and luckily I made my flight on time. The whole incident was very upsetting to me.
I am completely disgusted with their “customer service” and I will never use their transportation group again, and will advise everyone I know to use Associated instead. The fact that a) their cab company didn’t pick me up at the requested time, even though I ordered a cab earlier in the day and b) that there wasn’t even a cab anywhere near my house at the time shows me that their company is poorly run and has no real interest in providing customers with even basic transportation services. Obviously, if they're going to promise to pick someone up at a certain time, I think they should take that promise seriously. I take catching my plane on time seriously and would only choose to use a transportation company that would take getting me there on time seriously. The transportation industry is based timeliness and if they can’t provide that, they have no business making empty promises to people who rely on promptness.
Their website contains the following phrase: “The mission statement of the management is to exceed, not just meet the customers' desires”. I can’t help but laugh…their company did not even come close to meeting my desires as a customer. Perhaps they should look into providing a more truthful company profile on their web page. "
