November 2008 — "Personally, I love Calgary Transit. Yes some buses run late and sometimes the c-train is crowded, but for a major city, which Calgary is becoming, the transportation isn't bad. Comparing population to services, I think we are doing well. So far I have met far more pleasant bus drivers than unpleasant. Most fellow passagners are, again, pleasant and once in a while someone is down right nice. Considering the alternative of driving through grindlocked traffic, traffic lights that turn red too fast, and rude driver who use their horn too freely, I think choosing Calgary Transit is a no brainer. June 2008 — "The C-train can be great when it isn't rush hour. But if you are commuting back and forth between the downtown and home during regular rush hour it is one of the worst experiences, and lets face it, thats what most people use the C-train to do. During the busy times it is crowded, hot and constricting. Seriously try and avoid the entire situation if you can."

"To squeeze or not to squeeze?"

October 2007 — "It is great that Calgary has the C-Train facility for getting in and out of certain parts of the city but the growing pains of the city's rapidly expanding population is indeed frustrating. Having commuted in both Tokyo and London, I find my end-of-workday moods swing between not wanting to squeeze and wishing we would all squeeze more. I despise riding the train jam-packed but find it equally exasperating when a platform is full of people but inside passengers don't move down the train and as a result only two people are able to get on. I know how crazy this sounds but I feel like the present pains with public transit are as much about a city getting used to being a large, busy city as it is about the shortage of transportation. But then again, Calgary isn't London or Tokyo and I certainly have never enjoyed sharing my breathing space with ten strangers so I'm all for not squeezing. More space, more seats, more trains, please. And soon. "
